Doctoral Studies

The University also awards the degree of a Doctor of Administrative Sciences (Doktor der Verwaltungswissenschaften, Dr. rer. publ.), a Doctor in Law (Doktor der Rechtswissenschaft, Dr. iur). and a Doctor in politics and economy (Doktor der Staats- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Dr. rer. pol.) on the basis of a doctoral thesis and an oral examination. Among other things, graduates can only be accepted if they have completed a one-year course at the Speyer University minimum. So the students need a good  German language ability. In accordance with the interdisciplinary character of the Speyer courses, the oral examination covers several subjects.
